Sea Trade batted first and were off to a disastrous start losing both their openers to an incredible display of bowling by Rizwan Merchant. The team stumbled, losing wickets frequently until Fazal, Qayyum and Umer tried to fight back with cameos in their 20s. The team was eventually outdone by the Patriots bowlers who limited the opposition to only 122 runs in 20 overs.
In response Karachi Patriots were off to a disastrous start, losing their opener Syed Muttaqi for duck. The team contributed in spurts but kept losing wickets throughout the innings before Tayyab Balagamwala stepped in to score a match-winning knock of 33 runs to guide the Patriots to victory. Sea Trade bowlers fought hard to defend the total with Mazhar, Umar and Qayyum picking up 2 wickets each. Eventually Karachi Patriots chased down the total in 18.1 overs.
