Karachi Patriots batted first with openers Tayyab and Faisal leading the way, scoring 37 and 18 runs respectively to set the foundation for their team. Once Ahmed Arshad dimissed the pair, Adeel Abbasi took over the reigns, smashing a blistering 41 run knock that included 6 boundaries. The rest of the batsmen however were unable to get going and threw away their wickets in regular intervals. Properties bowlers Hassan Shahab and Ahmed Arshad were the key wicket takers for their side, picking up 2 wickets each to put a dent in the opposition. Karachi Patriots eventually set a target of 177 in 20 overs.
A&I Properties lost their opener Ahmed Arshad early on in the innings. His partner Ali Zaidi however had other plans in mind, contributing a fantastic 80 runs at a strike rate of 163. He received little support on the other end as the remaining batsmen were unable to play the Patriots bowlers. Rehan Nazim was the only other player that showed some resistance with a fighting knock of 28 runs but it wasn't enough to get his team over the line. Rizwan Merchant and Adeel Abbasi did maximum damage with the ball, taking a combined 5 wickets to outplay the opposition. A&I Properties were restricted to 172 in 20 overs.
