KDA Clinch Victory Despite Fareed Century

What a sensational innings played by Fareed Arbab and what a lopsided performance by the rest of his squad as KDA went head to head against Karachi Cricket Academy at the Big Bang Premier League.

Batting first, KDA did well to post runs on the board with the team coming together well. Opener Umer Hasan's 39 and Usama Riaz's 33 helped their side off to a decent start while Zubair really picked up the momentum with a smashing 57 that boosted his side to 170 for 7 in 20 overs. KCA bowlers Abdul Basit and Irfan Khan tried to pull back the opposition, picking up 2 wickets each in their spell.

In response, the 2nd innings was unbelievable! While opener Fareed Arbab carved out an incredible 119 off 71, his partners seemed to be playing a very different match. 8 of the subsequent batsmen were dismissed in single digits with the exception of Shahid Maqsood's 16. Saim Raees and Babat Raza took 2 wickets each while the rest of the bowling unit chipped in with a wicket each. Eventually Fareed was dismissed on the second last ball of the innings and his team fell short by just 3 runs; absolutely heart breaking! Karachi Cricket Academy were dismissed for 167 runs in 19.5 overs.

KDA won by 3 runs.
