KGS Class of 96 batted first and they were off to a rocky start losing their opener, Sameer Anees just for 1 but then they calmed the things in the middle with the partnership between Tayyab and Nazeer. Both batted aggressively and were looking in great touch, Tayyab scored 30 off 18 with 3 sixes and 2 fours whereas Nazeer managed to score 28 off 18 balls with 3 fours. Once they were dismissed, KGS Class of 98 tightened the grip on the match and did not allow the following batsmen to score much. There were tiny contributions from rest of the batting line but no one scored much. KGS Class of 98 bowled well but were way off line in quite a number of occasions as they conceded 30 wides. Khuwaja, Feyaz and Ahmed picked up 2 wickets each and bowled economically to restrict KGS Class of 96 to just 146.
The target was a modest one and in response, Haider and Saad got their team off to a reasonably good start. Just like KGS Class of 96, KGS Class of 98 also lost an early wicket but the partnership between Haider and Saad steadied things for KGS Class of 98 as they scored 25 and 14 respectively. KGS Class of 98 were going along nicely until Umer Ghazi and Zubair Kazmi shocked them with 4 quick wickets out of which two were dismissed for a duck and the other two were settled pair of Haider and Saad, this brought KGS Class of 96 back in the game. But the hero of the match turned out to be Khuwaja Obaid who played a great hand, he scored crucial 47 off 28 balls to save the day for his side, he smashed 5 fours during his blitz and was supported by Junaid who scored 13 and in the end, KGS Class of 98 without losing any further wickets got over the line in 18.4 overs.
