Khas Hold Nerve to Win a Thriller

Khas Vs Al Hamra

Khas n Viper 2 QF-4

Khas batted first and were off to a sensible start as their openers announced themselves with a quick little opening partnership. Khurram played a quick little cameo of 17 from 10 balls and supported his opening partner Hassan Sohail who was in solid form. Hassan was in the middle for most part of the innings and held one end together. After his opening partner, Yasir Tanveer joined him and propelled the score forward as he scored 26 of 20 with 2 fours. Hassan Sohail on the other hand, was determined and was hardly ever troubled during his stay, he scored 78 of 64 with a strike rate of 121.88 with 5 fours. But late middle order failed to deliver as the bowling side struck back with Asif Buksh leading the way, he bowled a miraculous spell and kept his side in the contest with his 5-wicket haul at the expense of just 15 runs. Khas managed to post 150 in first innings.

The response got off to a perfect start from Al Hamra openers, Saad and Kashif played some big shots during their stay. They provided a wonderful platform for rest of the batsmen. Saad scored 29 of just 17 whereas Kashif scored 22 of 16 balls. Once they were sent back to the pavilion, Khas came back strongly and dismissed the middle order cheaply. Imran, Saqib and Hassan picked up 2 wickets each to keep their side in the contest. The match took many turns and Usman and Danish played little cameos down the order to give their side another hope of having a chance to win with their little partnership and it took them closer to the target but the match took another turn when they were dismissed and though the tail tried their best to win it for Al Hamra but unfortunately for them they fell short by just 1 run.

Khas won the game by 1 run.
