Mavericks CC came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing a wicket inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Amir Malik played a sublime knock of 57 runs off 40 deliveries. Adnan Khan Niazi completely demolished the bowlers. He played a dismissive innings showing us an absolute power hitting masterclass. He played a fiery innings of 70 runs off just 37 deliveries. An innings which included 5 towering sixes & 7 boundaries. The bowlers then managed to pickup a couple of wickets in quick succession. Mudassir Farooqui came in towards the back end of the innings & played a cameo of 31 runs off just 13 deliveries. Owais Badar & Muhammad Hamza Abbas picked up a couple of wickets each. Mavericks posted a mammoth total of 200 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
F.C Sports came in to chase this target & were off to a flying start. They managed to loose a couple of wickets inside the powerplay but were still scoring at a very high rate. khurram Taj & Watan Dost had a partnership of 50+ runs. Khurram Taj played the role of the aggressor. He was hitting the ball cleanly from the word go. He smashed every bowler that came in front of him completely blowing away the bowling lineup. Watan Dost departed after scoring 42 runs off 30 deliveries. The bowlers then managed to pickup a couple of wickets in quick succession but that seemed to unfaze Khurram Taj. He showed us some clean power hitting & singe handedly took his team over the line. He played a sublime knock of 121 runs off just 51 deliveries. An innings which consisted of 8 towering sixes & 12 boundaries. Muhammad Khuzaima & Adnan Khan Niazi managed to pickup a couple of wickets each but it wasn’t enough.
