KPS Crushed by Rangoonwala

Rangoonwala and KPS challenged each other in this one sided game of cricket. Rangoonwala were a class above the opposition and gave KPS no chance to get hold of the game. Batting first Rangoonwala lost two wickets in quick succession. But the momentum was shifted Rangoonwala’s way as Adnan Akhtar joined Anwar. This partnership put Rangoonwala in the driving seat. Anwar scored an unbeaten knock of 65 runs, which came off in 41 deliveries. Adnan Akhtar missed his well-deserved half century by just 5 runs, he scored 45 runs off just 23 balls. After the end of this partnership, the rest of the batsmen tried to gain as much score as they could in the limited time they had. These brisk efforts in the concluding phases of the innings allowed Rangoonwala to post a mammoth total of 200 runs on the board. Saleem Khan and Waheed bagged two wickets each while Asad, Ahsan and Fareed Khan claimed one scalp apiece, as Rangoonwala lost 7 wickets in their innings.

The huge target needed a composed effort by the chasing team. But the KPS innings proved to be a flop show as only two batsmen managed to reach the double figures. Both these batsmen were tailenders, which highlights the dismal performance of recognized batsmen. Rangoonwala proved to be a classy outfit as their bowlers displayed a matchless performance. Toheed was the pick of the bowlers as he took 5 wickets for 17 runs in his four over spell. He was assisted by Nasir, who bagged 3 wickets for 11 runs. Kazzafi and Fahad also claimed one wicket as KPS were all out for a meagre total of 55 runs.

Rangoonwala won the match by a huge difference of 145 runs.
