Legends CC Vs Pakistan Pride XI (19 over match)
A brilliant century by Ahmer Shaikh took his side to a one sided win against Pakistan Pride XI.
Legends CC batted first and got the best possible beginning. Their openers, Umer Ishtiaq and Ahmer Shaikh were in sublime form and Pakistan Pride XI were clueless against them. Both batsmen complemented each other well. Ahmer Shaikh in particular played one of his greatest innings as he smashed his way past 100. He was not troubled by any of the bowlers as he smashed them all over the park and dominated them. He was supported by his opening partner Umer Ishtiaq who also played sensibly and scored 42, though he was not to aggressive but provied Ahmer with good support. Ahmer Shaikh on the other hand was unstoppable as he smashed 7 sixes and 9 fours during his display of power hitting. The opening partnership took Legends CC to a very defendable 167 for 5.
Just like their batting, Legends CC dominated the opposition with the bowl aswell. Though they were pushed on the back foot at the start by Jahangir and Meraj during their quick opening partnership. Both openers laid a perfect foundation for the rest of the batsmen but unfortunately for Pakistan Pride XI it was not utilized by the middle order. Meraj was much more aggressive as he smashed 8 fours in his 18 ball 40 whereas Jahangir managed to score 26 of 12. But it was a sorry scorecard from then onwards as Pakistan Pride XI completely lost their way and were bundled out just for 126. Saboor was the chief destroyer and the pick of the bowler as he dismissed 4 batsmen whereas Asad and Mumtaz managed to get 2 wickets each. In the end Legends CC easily won by 42 runs.
