Meezan Bank outplay Shan Foods

Shan Foods came in to bat first & were off to a disastrous start loosing 4 wickets inside the powerplay. Adeel Abid Shamsi launched the counter attack as he stopped the fall of wickets from one end but was running out of partners as the bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Abu Bakar came in & contributed with his 12 off 12. Ali Abrar came in towards the back end of the innings & tried to up the anti but departed after scoring 13 runs off 9 deliveries. Adeel Abid Shamsi played a sublime knock of 68 runs off just 54 deliveries. He was the lone warrior for his team. Kashif Altaf lead the bowling attack as he picked up 3 wickets. He found good support from Sayyam Khan Afridi who picked up a couple of wickets. Shan Foods posted a total of 145 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.

Meezan Bank came in to chase this target & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a wicket early on they were scoring at a decent rate. Faisal Iqbal & Syed Salman put up a decent partnership at the top of the innings. Faisal Iqbal scored 34 runs off 22 deliveries where as Syed Salman scored 14 off 17. The bowlers then made their comeback as they managed to pickup 3 quick wickets. The comeback was stopped by Kashif Altaf & Naimat Bilal Afridi. Kashif Afridi came in & started hitting the ball cleanly towards all parts of the ground. He took the bowlers to the cleaners completely running away with the game. He showed some masterful power hitting completely shifting the match in favor of his team single handedly. Naimat Bilal Afridi managed to scrore 11 off 16 where as Kashif Altaf played an absolute master blaster of an innings scoring 62 runs off just 19 deliveries. An innings which consisted of 8 towering sixes. Ali Abrar was able to pickup 3 wickets. Meraj Khan also managed to pickup a couple of wickets but it was too little too late.
