Meezan Bank win a low scoring thriller

Financial Markets came in to bat first & were off to a dreadful start loosing 4 wickets inside the powerplay. Waseem Mirza then managed to stop the fall of wickets from one end but the bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals from the other end. Sameer Siddiqui came in & the duo then had some sort of a partnership. Waseem Mirza managed to score 23 runs off 24 deliveries. Sameer Siddiqui tried to up the anti as he scored a quick fire 30 off 13. Once the duo was dismissed the bowlers then managed to pickup wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The batting lineup completely collapsed. Zia Ul Hasan lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Kashif Altaf & Naimat Bilal Afridi who picked up a couple of wickets each. Financial Markets were bowled out for 120 runs in 18.2 overs.

Meezan Bank came in to chase this target & were off to a similar start loosing 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Farhan Shah & Omer Abdul Rehman then put up a decent partnership taking their team out of trouble. Farhan Shah departed after scoring 18 runs off 20 deliveries. Omer Abdul Rehman kept the score board ticking. He was running out of partners as the bowlers were able to pickup wickets timely. Batsmen got their start but when they were about to accelerate the bowlers were able to pickup a wicket. Omer Abdul Rehman stayed out their in the middle scoring 47 runs off 45 deliveries ensuring his side the victory. Muhammad Khaliq Uz Zaman & Qaiser Sattar managed to pickup a couple of wickets each but it wasn’t enough to get their team over the line.
