Meezan Bank Won the Match Against HBL Asset Management by 5 Wickets

Meezan Bank and HBL Asset Management went against each other on 4th December at Eastern Star Ground.

Batting first, HBL Asset Management scored 164 runs at the loss of all wickets in 19.4 overs. Sabih Siddiqui, the middle-order batter, stood out with his innings of 90 off 48 runs. He played his innings at a strike rate of 187.50. The bowlers displayed good intent, as Syed Sharjeel Ahmed bagged 3 wickets, while Sayyam Khan Afridi took 2.

Meezan Bank opened the chase with Ahmed Baig and Faisal Iqbal, scoring 5 and 14 runs respectively. Syed Sharjeel and Omer Abdul Rehman’s partnership stood out, as they scored 74 runs collectively. Kashif Altaf’s cameo was crucial in the chase, as he smashed 47 runs at a massive strike rate of 247.37. Though Abdur Rehman Sr took a 3 wicket haul, the bowlers were unable to the batters.

As a result, Meezan Bank won the match by 5 wickets in 19.1 overs.
