Memon Stars Dominate by 59 Runs Against Ace CC

Memon Stars and Ace CC went against each other on 24th September at the IBA Cricket Ground.

Bilal Aslam and Ahmed Asif opened the innings for Stars. Ahmed managed to contribute 32 runs at a strike rate of 145.45. In addition to this, the one-down batter, Danish Munaf, scored 34 off 28. The bowlers gave the opponents a neck-to-neck competition, as Omer Shahid bagged 4 wickets. In addition to this, Mustafa Moosani and Haseeb Ur Rehman dismissed 2 batters each. The innings were further stabilised by Saad Asif, who scored 41 runs. Hence, Stars posted a total of 167 runs.

The second innings were opened Haseeb Ur Rehman and Imaaz Ahsan. Both got out on low scores of 7 and 12 runs respectively. The batters lost this wickets back-to-back on scores of one figure only. Usman Ashraf led the bowling attack, as he captured 3 wickets. Along with this, Moin Kodvavi bagged 2 wickets. Though Ahsan Admani tried to build momentum; however, he was caught out on Owais Maskatia’s ball at 27 runs.

As a result, Ace CC was unable to chase the score. Their batters lost all the wickets in 19 overs only. Therefore, Stars emerged winners by 59 runs.
