Mothercare and Gladiators went against each other on 4th October at the DCCL Season 3.
Saad Suleman Chawla and Muhammad Mustafa Zeeshan opened the innings for Mothercare, and scored 23 and 1 run respectively. Sohail Fazal, the one-down batter, scored 21 runs to stabilise the innings. However, he was caught out on Yasir Abdul Malik’s ball. The batters lost momentum, as the wickets kept falling easily. Sohaib Nasir bagged 3 wickets, while Shariq Sami and Yasir dismissed 2 batters each. Huzaifa Rizwan scored 30 runs and led the team to a stable total of 133 runs.
Shahrukh Mohsin and Farhan Sartaj opened the innings for Gladiators. The dynamic duo single handedly chased the score. Sharukh smashed 77 runs off 58 balls. While Farhan scored a valuable 40 runs. The bowlers were ineffective against the batters, as neither they restricted the batters nor took any wickets.
Hence, the stunning batting of Gladiators led them to a win by 10 wickets.
