Muslim Gymkhana and Down Town Strikers went against each other on 9th December at Asghar Ali Shah Ground.
Batting first, Muslim Gymkhana posted a mammoth total of 200 runs at the loss of 5 wickets. Saim Khurram, the opener, gave a phenomenal start to the team, as he scored 45 off 22. The one-down batter, Ismail Shah, was beastly with his knock of 98 runs at a strike rate of 171.93. Hamza Qadir took 2 wickets. However, the bowling effort was unable to to stop the batters.
Fayyaz Hussain and Haider Banghash opened the innings for Down Town Strikers. However, they were unable to give the desired start, as they scored 8 and 6 runs only respectively. The batters were unable to mark an impact, as the bowlers dominated. Farhan Nisar led the attack and bagged 4 wickets. In addition to this, Waleed Azeem and Yaqoob Jan took 2 wickets each.
As a result, Muslim Gymkhana defended their score in 16.3 overs. They won the match by 118 runs.
