Sequre XI Vs NBP Academy (20 Over Match)
NBP Pakistan prevailed in this high scoring clash against Secure XI on the back of brilliant innings from Faizan Bori.
Sequre XI batted first and they did not get the best of starts as both their openers were dismissed after getting into the double figures. The openers were later followed by another 2 quick wickets which pushed Sequre XI on the back foot. Iqbal then joined Shah Qureshi in the middle and two middle order batsmen then started to dictate their own terms in the middle. They smashed the bowlers around the park and did not let them settle or get on top of them. Iqbal with 2 sixes scored 41 and the highest scorer Shah Qureshi got to 76 of just 33 balls with 7 humongous sixes, it was a high class innings which gave his side a big first innings score of 177.
NBP Academy had some work to do and they wanted someone to play a similar knock like Shah Qureshi to get them close to the target. The top order contributed but could not convert their starts into something substantial. Faizan Bori then played one of his best knocks as he single handedly took his side out of troubles and put them in the driving seat. He scored 75 runs of 45 balls and his match winning knock included 8 fours and 2 sixes. This innings helped NBP to secure a comfortable win in the end only in 18 overs.
