New Unit Titans batted first in the all important final. Opening duo Dilip and I Khan stepped out with a purpose, contributing 28 and 13 runs respectively to get their team off to a flying start. Mansoor however, was the star of the night with a blistering half century off just 18 balls to propel his team to a massive total. A real crowd pleaser, he set the tone for the rest of his squad. Sajid, Rehan and Nasir fought hard to stop the onslaught but were only able to take 1 wicket each, unable to stop the flow of runs at key times. Minor contributions by Shoaib (12) and Mohsin (10) boosted New Unit Titans to post a huge target of 134 in 8 overs.
Sales Tigers needed something extraordinary to chase down the sizeable target. The team was off to a disastrous start, losing opener Nasir for duck. Things did not get any better from there as the Tigers batsmen threw away their wickets, unable to contribute runs with the bat. Amin was the only notable contributor for their side, scoring 29 runs, fighting hard to pull his team back in the game. He received no support on the other end with Rehan ripping through the batting line up, taking 3 key wickets to decimate the opposition. Shoaib caused further damage with the ball, taking 2 wickets. Eventually the target proved to be too much for Sales Tigers who were limited to 80 runs in 8 overs.
New Unit Titans won by 54 runs and were crowned champions of the Adamjee Insurance Tournament.
