Another high scoring thriller involving Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana which saw them chasing a huge score 185 against Dawson Sports.
Dawson batted first and were off to a horrible start losing both their openers with not much on the board. Zeeshan and Dawood then got together and scored some much needed runs and formed a good partnership. After the early wickets this was a much needed stand for Dawson Sports both showed their experience and did not throw their wickets and took the innings forward. Zeeshan scored 45 and Dawood scored 36 before they were sent back to the pavilion only to bring Ali Khan in the middle. Ali Khan lifted the spirits of his side with his fine hitting, he was in impeccable, faultless and flawless hitting form as he thrashed the bowlers all around the park during his blitz of 67 of 29 which included 4 mighty sixes. This effort carried his side to a huge 185.
Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana were set to chase another big score and this was not the first time they were asked to do so, they had the firepower within their side and they had the believe that they could chase the target down. With that believe they began their innings on a positive note with Farhan Asif specifically looking in tremendous form as he struck 4 huge sixes during his innings of 41 but just when he was looking threatening, he was dismissed by Ali Khan. This gave Dawson another chance to come back into the game but the contributions from almost everyone after a perfect beginning gave Dawson a very little chance to defend the total. The batting effort from Nazeer Hussain Gymkhana was a professional one as they mastered the chase with 4 wickets in hand and in the last over.
