OGS v Karachi Club
OGS played against Karachi Club at Moin Khan Cricket stadium as part of the 2nd ACM Gold T 20 Night League. Karachi Club won the toss and decided to field first. OGS lost opener Tayyab R Balagamwala early after he had scored 13 and Wamiq was dimissed next after scoring 22 runs. With Imran Shah gone without scoring, OGS were struggling at 59 for 3. An in-form Talha Faheem stepped up and had a 90 run partnership with Adnan Siddiqui. Talha was out after having scored 49 runs of 38 balls in which he hit 4 boundaries and two sixes and was unlucky not to get a half century. After Talha’s dismissal, Adnan continued to play aggressively and OGS ended at 179 for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs. Adnan remained not out at 71 runs off just 43 balls at a strike rate of 165% and his innings included 6 boundaries and 2 sixes. For Karachi Club, Rizwan Diwan picked up 2 wickets while Khurrum and Faraz took a wicket each.
In reply, Karachi Club lost Rameez Mehboob early but Talha Ahmedani and Khurrum Wahab batted aggressively and scored 65 runs in 6 overs before Khurram was out after having scored 18 runs. Talha continued to score at a fast pace but was out after having scored 42 runs off 27 balls. Other batsmen like Faraz with 18, Adeel with 16 and A Wahab with 24 tried to fight back but Karachi Club eventually fell short of the target and ended at 159 for 7 in 20 overs. For OGS, Iqbal Butt took 3 wickets while Shah Qureshi got 2 wickets and Waseem and Adnan picked up a wicket each.
