Gulshan Fighters and Okhair Memon Youth Services (OMY) went against each other on 16th September at the IBA Cricket Ground.
Hunain Arif and Abdul Aziz Memon opened the innings for Fighters, scoring 26 and 3 runs respectively. Hashim Hussain Vayani led the bowling attack with stunning figures of 3 wickets in 4 overs. In addition to this, Ammar Mamdani and Obaid Ur Rehman bagged 2 wickets each. The batters displayed a sloppy effort. Danish remained the highest scorer with 31 runs only. Hence, Fighters were restricted to a low score of 104 runs.
The dynamic duo of Danish Afridi and Aqeel Mamdani opened the innings for OMY. Danish smashed a half-century at a strike rate of 238.10. However, he was lbw-ed by Sheeraz on 50 runs. Aqeel remained not out throughout the innings and scored 35 off 26. The overall bowling effort was poor; however, Sheeraz individually was good, as he bagged 2 wickets.
Therefore, the bowlers of Fighters fell short of the zeal and spirit and were unable to defend the score. As a result, OMY won the match in the 10th over by 7 wickets.
