SSGC vs OMER ASSOCIATES

Omer Associates faced SSGC in this one sided friendly fixture. Omer Associates batted first and were off to a shaky start as they lost opener Jaffar Qureshi for 0. But Sajid Ali along Imran Javed did the remedial work. Sajid scored 20 runs and Imran was joined by Iqbal Shiekh. This superb partnership put Omer Associates in a commanding position. Imran scored 45 runs while Iqbal Shiekh scored 47 runs. The party was not over yet as Haris Ayaz scored a brilliant half century in the lower order. Harais was supported by Yousuf as they scored 57 and 37 runs respectively. Rashid took 4 wickets for 25 runs and Omer Associates scored 220 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after 20 overs.
SSGC had a difficult start as wickets kept falling from one end from the initial phase of the innings. Khalid Hameed tried to hold the innings together with his 29 runs but without any assistance his efforts were wasted. After 2 consecutive ducks in the middle order, Rashid tried to counter attack with his 26 runs but it was too late to bring his team back into the game. Izhar was the pick of the bowlers with 5 wickets for 22 runs. SSGC scored only 84 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. Omer Associates won the match by 136 runs.
