Bank Islami v Aimmz Trading
Bank Islami played Aimmz Trading in a thrilling encounter at Al Mansoora cricket ground as part of the 7th Challengers Corporate Cup. Bank Islami batted first with opener Shafqat Hussain departing early after having scored just 3 runs. However, his partner Ahmer Farooqui and one down batsman Usman Farhat batted till the end and remained not out as Bank Islami ended at 174 for 1 in 20 overs. Ahmer got 80 runs off 56 deliveries including four sixes and eight boundaries. Usman got 73 runs off 59 balls and his innings included six fours and three sixes. Syed Atif Humayun was the sole wicket taker for Aimmz Trading.
In reply, Aimmz lost Muneeb and Umair early on in the innings. Saad Saleem then stepped in with a valuable knock of 39 runs. Ozema Zafar batted superbly and got 105 runs off just 52 balls and he remained not out and his innings included seven sixes and seven boundaries. His efforts were , however in vain as he did not get the requisite support from the other end and wickets kept tumbling and eventually this thrilling contest ended with Aimmz Trading falling short by just 5 runs as they ended at 169 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. For Bank Islami ,Abdul Majid got 2 wickets while Shamim, Ahmer and Mir Aziz got a wicket each and there was one run out.
