The Extras took on the Panthers on 14-11-2015 at the Old Navy Cricket Ground, battling it out for supremacy in the Fit in 5 t20 League.
Extras were put in to bat first and were bowled out for an extremely modest 118 in their 20 overs. The run machine Atif Ahmed had a rare failure as he was dismissed by Saad for 6, passing on the torch to opening partner Hassan Naqvi. Hassan along with lower-middle order batsman Hamza Khan were the only main contributors as they scored 34 and 27 respectively. The rest of the batting line up was blown away by some superb Panthers bowling. Saad led the charge by picking up 5 wickets while Hassan Mehmood and Noman picked up 2 wickets each including the priceless scalp of Asad Shafquat.
The Panthers made easy work of the run chase, completing it with 8 wickets in the bag and more than 7 overs to spare. After losing both openers early on, Hassan Mehmood and Shumail took it upon themselves to finish the job, putting up a 100 run partnership for the fourth wicket. They both scored 46 each to lead the Panthers to a historic 8 wicket victory against the Extras, cementing their strong position in the League.
