Parco win a nail biting fixture

Karachi Patriots and Parco clashed in what was a close encounter. This exciting match had all the thrills that cricket fans desire to watch.

Parco batted first and were off to a shaky start. A lackluster performance by the openers was consolidated by decent efforts from Haq Nawaz and Danish Ali. Haq Nawaz scored 15 runs off just 8 balls while Danish scored a quick fire 27 run knock which came off in just 9 balls. Adeel Abbasi was the pick of the bowlers as he gave 10 runs and took a wicket, Faysal Butt and Rehan Hanif also took one wicket each. Parco managed to score 67 runs for the loss of 3 after 5 overs.

What looked a moderately easy target became herculean as Karachi Patriots lost an opener and the one down batsman one after another. The bowling duo of Danish and Arshad Abbasi tried their best to restrict Karachi Patriots as they gave only 6 and 8 runs respectively and claimed a wicket each. But there was another duo which also deserves a mention. Tayyab Balagamwala and Faysal Butt fought back and scored 22 off 7 and 19 off 9 respectively in their effort to chase the target. Their brave effort deserved a victory but in the end Karachi Patriots fell just 3 runs short of victory.

Parco won the match by 3 runs.
