PDXI Vs NED Striker Club
A top all round performance by the PDXI allowed them to sit back and enjoy the victory ride against NED Striker Club.
PDXI were off to flying start with Zeehsan Bangash and Muhammad Hasham as their opening pair in the first innings of the match. Zeeshan Bangash scored an amazing half century and Muhammad Hasham contributed a little by scoring 11 runs for his team. Shehbaz Muhammad and Bilal Muhammad carried a very effective partnership and scored 28 runs together. The entire batting order kept the ball rolling and the scoreboard ticking in order to reach a decent total from them to defend it easily. Ali Affan scored 15 runs and after him Juniad Yaqoob entered the pitch in great form and scored a wonderful 52 runs, supported by Abdul Wasiq Chippa who scored 15 runs. PDXI scored a magnificent total of 199 runs in 20 overs. Imran Khan was the star bowler from NED Striker Club to pick up 3 wickets in 4 overs.
NED Striker Club started off with quite a bang in the second innings with Yasir Mehmood and S.M.Zahid as their opening pair. Both of them played a 38 runs partnership and gave their side a good start. The team was looking forward to a good chase. Kashif Khan played a brilliant innings of 55 runs and added big numbers on the scoreboard. Rehan Iqbal and Ubaid were the only two left to carry a 30 run partnership and that was just about it. The NED Striker Club reached a total of 147 runs in 20 overs and failed to reach the target. The batting order's performance wasn't in favor of NED Striker Club and they failed with the chase.
PDXI won by 52 runs.
