Proud Pakistan v Meezan CC (20 over match)
Proud Pakistan batted first and were off to a solid start with both openers Faheem and Sharjeel contributing runs with the bat. With an opening partnership of 72 runs, the duo set the foundation for a massive total for their side. Meezan bowler Zohair then stepped in to take 3 key wickets and rattle the opposition in his spell of 4 overs. The team lost wickets on occasion but kept the scoreboard ticking throughout the innings. Waqas Thara's fiery 38 runs cameo helped propel his team to post a target of 197 in 20 overs.
Meezan Panthers had a tough day out with the bat. Despite some good starts by their top order batsmen, the team was unable to build an innings and get going at any stage. Azfar, Ehtesham and Ahsan were the only notable contributors for their side, scoring in their 20s. The rest of the team however were outdone by a fantastic display of bowling by Proud Pakistan with Yaseen leading the attack, taking 3 wickets. He was further supported by Tabish Iqbal who also took 2 wickets. Meezan Panthers simply could not recover and with 5 of their batsmen out for single digits, they were limited to 137 in 20 overs.
