A brilliant display of batting from Eagles Cricket Club led by a fine century from Rehan Nazim helps in beating Karachi Stallions in a one sided encounter.
It was a day which was dominated by Eagles Cricket Club batsmen to beat Karachi Stallions easily by 72 runs. Kaashan and Asad Mahmood came out to open and they had a clear plan, to go after the bowlers and not let them settle. They utilized the power play very well. Both played brilliant cameos and had a wonderful opening partnership Kaashan scored 62 of just 42 whereas Asad Mahmood 43 of 34. This partnership and the innings from openers was just a trailer of what was about to come. Rehan Nazim who was the star of the day came out to bat with their team of too a flying start. He carried the momentum forward and played at a massive strike rate of 256, smashing 7 sixes and 10 fours on his way to a brilliant century. He scored a brilliant 105 of just 41 to take his side to a massive score of 220.
Karachi Stallions knew they were pushed against the wall and had to play their A game to beat Eagles Cricket Club. But Cavish Farrukh had other plans, he broke the backbone of Karachi Stallions dismissing their 4 middle order batsmen to ensure that they don't even get close to 220. Zohaib and Tayyab for Karachi Stallions tried to resist a bit, but the target was always going to be out of their reach.
In the end Karachi Stallions had a day to forget as they were totally outplayed by the brilliance of Eagles Cricket Club.
