Renegades win a thriller

Renegades came in to bat first & were off to a decent start. Despite loosing 2 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a healthy rate. Younus Tai & Kaif Bilal managed to put up a decent partnership at the top. Younus Tai scored 15 off 17 where as Kaif Bilal scored 14 off 8. Habib Shoaib & Abdul Rehman Halari were also able to put up a decent partnership before Habib Shoaib was dismissed after scoring 19 runs off 20 deliveries. Usman Ashraf came in & he contributed with his 15 off 22. Abdul Rehman Halari departed soon after scoring 43 runs off 31 deliveries. Umer Khanani came in towards the back end of the innings & played a cameo of 37 runs off just 16 deliveries boosting the team total to 166 runs. Muhammad Talha Khan lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Murtaza Zaidi who picked up a couple of wickets as well. Renegades posted a total of 166 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Burnout 40 came in to chase this target & were off to a solid start. Despite loosing a wicket early on they were scoring at a healthy rate. Asim Ullah & Abdullah Alam put up a partnership of 50+ runs. Asim Ullah played a solid knock of 37 runs off 25 deliveries where as Abdullah Alam looked promising before he was dismissed after scoring 30 runs off 26 deliveries. The bowlers then made their comeback & started to pickup wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed as the bowlers bowled at tight line & lengths not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Batsmen got their starts but were unable to convert those starts. Asfand Yazdani played a Cameo towards the back end of the innings as he scored 34 runs off just 19 deliveries but it was too little too late. Kaif Bilal, Shayan Nepal & Abdul Qadir Suriya picked up a couple of wickets each restricting the batting lineup under the target.
