Rex Eleven defended 167 against Rimpa XI after a fine batting performance from their openers at RLCA.
Rex Eleven batted first and their openers gave them the perfect possible beginning. Both Maisam (57) and Umar Zaheer (64) looked in perfect touch as they were untroubled during their opening stand. The bowlers looked clueless against them as they were not able to break the partnership. Maisam was the aggressor between the two as he smashed at the strike rate of 167 whereas Umar Zaheer managed the strike rate of 130. After their dismissal Rimpa XI came back strongly and did not allow any other batsmen to score big and it allowed Rimpa XI to restrict them to 167.
In the second innings Rimpa XI got after a reasonable start but unfortunately for them they could not convert their starts into something big for their side. The whole batting line for Rimpa XI was a sorry tale for their supporters as everyone got starts but none carried the innings forward. Every bowler from Rex picked up wickets and were economical. Zameer from Rimpa XI resisted for some time during his cameo of 37 but it was not enough for Rimpa XI as their innings was folded for just 150, 17 short of Rex Eleven's total.
