Rex Eleven dominant over Garden Strikers

Rex Eleven came in to bat first with their opener Waseem Akbar in fine form. The bowlers managed to pickup 2 wickets inside the powerplay but were unable to stop the flow of runs. Ali Zain & Waseem Akbar put up a partnership of 50+ runs before Ali Zain was dismissed after playing a fiery innings of 47 runs off just 20 deliveries. Waseem Akbar followed him soon as he played a sublime innings of 79 runs off just 41 deliveries. An innings which included 6 towering sixes & 4 boundaries. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed as the bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals. Dr Farhan & Daniyal Farooq managed to pickup a couple of wickets. Rex Eleven scored 184 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Garden Strikers came in to chase down this target & were off to a disastrous start as they lost 3 wickets inside the powerplay & were scoring at a slow run rate. The bowlers capitalized on the start & kept the pressure on the batsmen through out the innings picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Muhammad Talha was the only batsmen who was able to show resistance but wasn’t able to do enough as wickets kept on tumbling from the other end. Muhammad Talha soon departed after scoring a fighting 35. Imran Sajjad lead the blowing attack as he picked up 3 wickets & found good support from Azhar who picked up a couple of wickets himself. Garden Strikers managed to score only 138 runs for the loss of 9 wickets.
