RG Sports took on Shabbirabad Cricket Club as part of Group A at the 3rd KK Ramzan Super Sixes being contested at the UBL Sports Complex.
RG Sports after opting to bat first, were off to a great start with opener Daniyal Ali playing a gutsy innings of 37 runs in 13 balls, in an innings that witnessed 4 boundaries and 3 sixes. Ahmad and Wasim Ali propelled the momentum forward with knocks of 12 and 14 respectively with 1 four and 1 six each. Hussain Taha was the pick of the bowlers for Shabbirabad CC taking 2 wickets for 11 runs in his 1 over. RG Sports finished off their innings very strong at 82 for 3 in 5 overs.
Shabbirabad CC were off to a flying start with both openers sending balls over the boundary line. Murtaza Kapasi scored freely in a 14 ball knock of 35 runs with 4 fours and 2 huge sixes while Huzaifa Mohib made 22 runs of 10 balls with 2 sixes. However things took a turn for the worse when the bowling duo of Wasim Ali and Daniyal Ali took 1 wicket each to restrict their opponents to 68 for 2 in 5 overs.
RG Sports won the match by 14 runs.
