Rims Lions Chase An Easy Target

Classic Barbarians Vs Rims Lions (MSL)

An all round team effort and strong performance guided Rims Lions to victory. 

The first innings was off to a disappointing start for the Classic Barbarians with both openers losing their wickets early on in the innings for just 7 runs. Umair Usman and Shehzad Suleman then stepped in to lead the recovery, scoring valuable 47 and 31 runs to pull their team back in the game. Osama Ayub caused much damage with the ball, taking 3 key wickets in his spell to rattle the top order. Rims Lions were constantly picking up wickets with their ferocious bowling attack; Farhan Asif also took 2 wickets. The team lost wickets throughout the innings with Rim Lions always on top. A late surge of 34 runs by Idrees Amin brought his team to a total of 140 runs in 20 overs.

Rims Lions were off to a good start compared to what we saw in the first innings. Umair Ahmed was the opening batsman and he gave his team a head start by scoring 24 runs. Muzammil Mehboob came one down and he kept the scoreboard ticking by adding 28 runs to the chase. Adeel Iqbal contributed to the chase and scored 32 runs for his side. Rims Lions landed themselves in a safe position with the top batting order's performance. Hammad Sheikhani scored 20 runs and Salman Moten scored 13 runs. It was a tough call for both of the sides as Salman Dossani and Shahid Nepal fought back, taking 2 wickets each in an attempt to defend their team's total. The match dragged till the last ball and in the end Rims Lions came out with a roar.
