Samba Bank batted first and were off to a dream start with both openers Imran Arshad (55) and Mujtaba Mehdi (51) scoring half centuries and building a century partnership. Once their wickets fell however, the team was completely outdone by an incredible display of bowling by Mal Pakistan. Tariq Farooq was unplayable on the day, picking up 5 huge wickets while Sheeraz Ahmed picked up 2 wickets completely stumping the opposition. Samba Bank were eventually bowled out for 185 runs.
MAL Pakistan stumbled in their chase, losing wickets and never taking control of their innings. The batsmen threw away their wickets, unable to compete against a fierce bowling attack. Sheeraz Ahmed was the only notable contributor for his side scoring 49 runs to give his side a fighting chance. Imran Bashir was the star bowler for his side, taking 4 wickets and doing maximum damage to the opposition. Imran Arshad and Faraz Taimuri lended further support, picking up 2 wickets each. MAL Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 134 runs in 18 overs.
