Samba Bank Ltd and UBL Insurers went against each other on 21st August at the Asghar Ali Shah Ground.
The first innings was started by Ayaz Ali and Hassan Jafri, both got out on fewer runs. Mohsin was the highest scorer of the innings with 28 runs off 33 balls. As a result, Samba Bank posted a total of 131 runs. Muhammad Shah bagged 2 wickets at an economy rate of 5.75.
The second innings was opened by Mueen Akhter and Areeb Salman. However, both got out at 5 and 6 runs respectively. Irfan Rehmat, the one-down batsman, scored 24 runs at a strike rate of 109.09. None of the batsmen were able to score runs more than that! The bowlers shone, as Faraz Sandhu took 3 wickets while Yasir Abbas took 2 wickets.
Hence, UBL Insurers were unable to chase the target and lost all wickets with 2 balls to spare.
