Samba Bank Warriors win a low scoring thriller

Hill Park Blues batted first & were off to a dreadful start loosing 3 wickets upfront. Saad Jaka & Shah Hussain then built a partnership taking their team out of trouble. Saad Jaka looked promising before he was dismissed after scoring 20 off 26. Hussain Jadoon came in & continued where Saad left from. Shah Hussain was looking solid & just when he started accelerating he found himself injured & had to retire hurt after scoring 49 runs. Hussain Jadoon was then left stranded as the bowlers made their comeback & started picking up wickets at regular intervals. Hussain Jadoon was also dismissed after scoring 26 off 23. Faraz Sandhu lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. Hill Park Blues managed to score 124 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Samba Bank Warriors came in to chase this target & were off to a decent start with their openers Clayton D’Souza scoring 17 runs & Hassan Jafri scoring 21 runs. Farooq Seraj came in next & chipped in with his 13. Muhammad Zahid managed to score 18 & Faraz Sandhu contributed with his 19. The bowlers were unable to pickup wickets but managed to stem the run flow. The bowlers then made a comeback & picked up wickets at quick successions completely drying up the runs. The middle order completely collapsed & the pressure was full time on the batting side. Hill Park Blues looked comfortable & were cruising towards victory before Faraz Shah Taimuri came in & snatched the match from the bowling side with his sublime power hitting. He scored 18 runs off just 5 deliveries taking his team over the line with just 2 balls to spare. Dawood Barry managed to pickup 3 wickets. He found good support from Ahmed Sakaria who picked up a couple of wickets but it was too little too late.
