Samba Bank took on JWT in the Corporate heavyweight clash at the Young Fighters Ground on 14-11-2015.
Batting first, Samba Bank scored a colossal 220 at the loss of 4 wickets. Despite a shaky start, number 3 batsman Imran Arshad anchored the innings. He held up one end of the wicket scoring 85 of just 43 balls including 12 boundaries and 3 massive sixes. Omair Alam also played his part scoring 33 at over a run a ball before Faraz Taimuri and Syed Waqas took Samba on a late surge scoring 32 of 17 balls and 20 of 9 balls respectively, taking the total to 220.
In response, the JWT batsmen got off to good starts but were unable to capitalize. Naseem was the only batsmen who managed to build on his start, making 61 of just 34 balls. The rest fell victim to Ayaz Ali and his bowlers. Bilal gave some hope in the dying overs making 32 of 20, but his dismissal put the final nail in the coffin for JWT. They were restricted to 173 at the loss of 7 wickets , falling short by 47 runs.
