A day when being a bowler was not wanted by anyone, this game between Jouhar Eagles and Shaheen Sports was a display of great batting. Batting first Jouhar Tigers lost an early wicket which got the Shaheen Sports fielders buzzing. But the ecstasy was short lived as Naveed and Irfan started to pelt the ball all around the park. Naveed scored a quick 24 off just 13 deliveries while Irfan showed his class with an innings of 44 runs which he made by facing only 21 balls. Masab of the Shaheen Sports was able to get 2 wickets for 21 runs while Shehzad and Adeel took 1 wicket each. With the help of brilliant batting and 12 extras, Jouhar Tigers posted a huge 94 for 4 on the board at the end of 8 overs.
Resting on your laurels can prove to be dangerous to any team. And in this game we observed the same scenario. Jouhar Eagles were confident after posting a huge total, however their bowling line up just could not find the rhythm. Since the start of the second innings it was Rabid and his extravagant stroke play which stole the limelight. Scoring a match winning knock of 75 runs off just 29 balls, Rabid led the batting line up in this successful chase. Saad was the only bowler who managed to take a wicket and gave away just 5 runs in the only over he bowled. After 7.2 overs Shaheen Sports superseded the total posted by Jouhar Eagles and won the match.
