Shan Foods went against Meezan Bank on 11th December at Eastern Star Ground.
Abdul Nafay and Syed Sheraz Ali opened the innings for Shan Foods. While Nafay scored 17 runs only, Sheraz smashed a half century. He scored 55 off 31 and was caught out on Zia Ul Hassan’s ball. Zia stood out with the ball due to his 5-wicket haul. Hence, Shan Foods posted a total of 168 at the loss of 9 wickets.
Faisal Iqbal and Inayat Ur Rehman gave a good start to Meezan, as they scored 36 and 47 runs respectively. However, they lost their wickets to Danish Farooqui and Ali Abrar respectively. This destabilised the team’s innings. Shan’s bowlers dominated with Ali Abrar dismissing 3 batters and Adeel Abid Shamsi bagging 2 wickets.
As a result, Shan Foods defended their score and emerged winners of 44th Challengers Corporate Cup by 12 runs.
