Shan Foods beat Bayer Pakistan in a match held in the Jubilee Insurance 35th Challengers Corporate Cup.
Bayer Pakistan batted first and lost one of their openers for just 8 runs.Their other opener Waqas Tabassum made 28 off 20 balls along with Syed Taimur who made 12 off 19 balls. However, the remaining batsmen were unable to post runs on the board and got out for single digit scores. A cameo from Babar Ali (28 off 26 balls) helped the team reach 112 runs. Waqas Khan, Faraz Javed and Raja Shamraiz Kayani claimed 2 wickets each.
Shan Foods also lost one opener early in the batting innings but their other opener Adnan Khalid helped the team make a comeback by scoring 40 runs off 39 balls. Adeel Abid Shamsi scored 20 off 13 balls and Abdul Nafay made 18 off 16 balls. Both batsmen remained not out and helped the team chase their target swiftly.Ahsan Mirza took 2 wickets for his side.
Shan Foods won the match by 6 wickets.
