MCB batted first against Sons of Pitches in a friendly match didn’t bat well. Ahsan and Kumail’s 4 wickets each from SOP helped bowling unit to bowl the opposition out for 129 runs. MCB batsmen seemed too amateur in front of SOP bowlers. Except Imran and Usman who scored 23 runs each, nobody played a notable innings.
Sons of Pitches in reply chased the target with ease and grace. Babar Shaikh provided an excellent start of 43 runs of 35 balls. He was followed by Farhad who added 19 runs to the total. Zubair’s 32 runs innings also helped SOP to chase the target with even 17 deliveries to spare. Ghayas and Aqeels’s 2 wickets each from MCB went in vain as the bowling unit failed to defend the target which was already very low.
Sons of Pitches won by 4 wickets.
