South End Club Win A Close Encounter

(20 Over Match)

South End Club locked horns with Super Daddy Cricket Club in this nail biting fixture. South Ended batted first and were off to a steady start. Raheel was the first batsman to go back to the pavilion at the score of 14. But this did little damage to the scoring rate as Kashif and Sameed continue to score runs without any difficulty. Kashif scored 34 runs off 22 balls while Sameed bagged 45 runs off just 30 deliveries. In the concluding phase of the innings it was Faisal who increased the scoring rate and scored 39 runs off 21 balls, helping his team to post a huge total. South End Club scored 184 runs for the loss of 4 wickets at the end of the first innings.

Super Daddy Cricket Club had a dismal start to their chase, as both openers failed to reach double figures. But the damage was consolidated by Fahad Chinoy and and Yasser Mufti, who scored 28 and 27 runs respectively. This partnership set the stage for Jasim to come in and score some quick runs. He complied and smashed 49 runs off just 28 deliveries. Had he got any support from the other end, the match could have been more competitive. But unfortunately the lower order failed to provide the needed assistance. Uzair and Ahsan grabbed 2 wickets apiece, while the rest of the bowling attack also contributed well. Super Daddy Cricket Club managed to score 167 runs at the end of 20 overs for the loss of 8 wickets. The match was won by South End Club by 17 runs.
