Southend Premier League is underway and the matches are getting more and more exciting. Southend Kings faced Southend Falcons in this low scoring match. Batting first, Southend Kings were off to a terrible start as the top order collapsed. It was difficult to come back after two back to back ducks. But with a herculean effort by Haseeb Khan and some support by Zeeshan, Faiz and Kamran, Southend managed to post a three figure total. Naveed Inam and Arshad Tai claimed two scalps apiece and Southend Kings scored 118 runs for the loss of 7 wickets after 20 overs.
Southend Falcons started their chase in decent fashion. Arshad Tai played freely for his 14 ball 25 runs. After brief contribution from the top order, Imran Rauf and Kashif produced a match winning partnership. Imran scored 37 runs off 26 balls Kashif scored 30 runs off 20 deliveries. Bilal took 2 wickets while one wicket each was picked by Faiz Sarwar and Khizar Ansari. Southend Falcons chased the target in the 14th over and won the match by 6 wickets.
