Southend Champions Vs Southend Tigers (Southend Winter Tournament)
Southend Tigers wrapped up the game quickly and enjoyed an easy victory.
The first innings started off as the Southend Champions entered the pitch to bat first with Mohsin Lakho and Irfan Ullah as their opening pair. Moshin Lakho was in top form and scored 91 runs for his side, where as Irfan Ullah scored only 12 runs. The entire batting order failed tremendosuly from scoring something decent and get a respectable total on the scoreboard. It wasn't their poor performance only but also the strong bowling attack of the Southend Tigers that stopped them from scoring runs. Raza Tahir picked up 4 wickets and the Southend Champions were bowled out a total of 176 runs in 40 overs.
Southend Tigers came out like real Tigers and started off with a bang in the second innings. Salman Khan was the opener and scored 54 runs. And to back him up, Asif Siddiqui was the man to take his side through and scored 105 runs single handedly and awarded his side with the win. Southend Tigers chased the target in 27 overs and won the match with a huge margin.
Southend Tigers won the match by 9 wickets.
