SSCC batted first and were off to a very good start with both the openers showing their skills. Both batted aggressively, setting up a brilliant platform for others. But their effort was cut short and they could not bat for a longer period as Ajdal was dismissed for 16 and Saad scored 21 before getting out. The platform provided by the openers was utilized by the number 3, Saad Shakeel. He carried the innings forward with 23 ball 43 runs which included 5 fours and a big six. On the other hand, for NED Imran Khan bowled a splendid spell but had little support from his partners, he picked up 4 wickets for 30 runs. The innings was ended on a high for SSCC by Asad and Uzair as they scored 31 and 15 in quick time. This took SSCC to a very big 179.
NED had a very horrible time with the bat. Only Zahid provided some resistance with his brilliant knock of 63 of 45 with 4 mighty sixes, otherwise it was a dull and gloomy effort from NED batsmen. On the other hand, Asad Sohail bamboozled the batting side with his match winning spell. He picked up 4 wickets for just 5 runs in his 3 overs. His spell ripped the heart out of NED batting and they had no answers against his magical spell. He was brilliant and bowled at an economy rate of 1.67. He was supported by others as well and in the end SSCC managed to win easily by a big margin of 64 runs.
