Super Star CC batted first and were off to a shaky start losing the top order cheaply. The opening bowlers set the tone early and they were tremendous with the new ball. Both, Tayyab and Saad were amongst wickets with the new ball, Tayyab picked up 1 whereas Saad bagged 2. Strikers CC kept hitting the batting side with wickets at regular intervals they never let them settle which never allowed Super Star CC batsmen to form a decent partnership, the highest scorer was Shezad Niaz down the order with 24 of 17 balls. The bowlers on the other hand were outstanding and Nadeem Akhtar was the most economical of them all with an economy of just 3.25. In the end, Super Star CC managed to score just 107.
With not much to chase, Strikers were confident of chasing the target down easily. They got a perfect start with their opener, Waqas and Saad scoring in 20s. After their dismissal Shahrukh and Usman propelled the score forward and both scored 13 each before they were sent back to the pavilion. After their dismissal, Super Star came roaring back into the game thanks to the spell from Faisal Shah, who picked up 3 wickets for just 10 runs in his 4 overs. This spell gave hope for Super Star and they dragged the game to the 20th over. But it was just not good enough as Strikers were able to get over the line with 4 wickets in hand.
