SSGC batted first and were off to a rocky start, losing opener Kamil Ghani for just 6 runs. Khalid Hameed and Athar Kaleem then took the reigns, contributing cameos of 39 and 38 runs respectively. The team lost wickets in regular intervals but kept the scoreboard ticking throughout the innings. Muhammad Irfan and Naeem Ahmad did well to restrict the opposition, taking 2 wickets each and fighting hard to keep their side in the game. An all round team contribution however boosted SSGC to a competitive target of 170 in 20 overs.

Civil Aviation Authority had a disastrous day with the bat. Losing their opener Aslam Khan for just 2 runs, the team was never able to recover at any stage of the innings. Gul Faraz was ruthless with the ball, taking 4 key wickets and ripping through the batting line up. Asif Ansari did further damage, picking up 2 wickets in his spell. Civil's batsmen were completely helpless against a merciless bowling attack with only Asif Khan contributing runs with the bat. His knock of 41 runs at a strike rate of 200 gave his team some hope but he was alone in the fight. Civil Aviation Authority were bowled out for 132 runs in 15 overs.
