SHAHBAZ NAGAR vs SUNDAY SPORTS (RAMZAN LEAGUE)
Sunday Sports faced Shahbaz Nagar in this nail biting encounter. Batting first, Sunday Sports were off to a solid start. Shafi and Waseem pelted the ball all around the park and ensured that the disturbed the opposition’s plans. Shafi scored 26 runs off 15 balls while his partner Waseem scored 22 runs in only 7 balls. This solid start allowed the rest of the batsmen to free their arms. The lower order did contribute some run, however no individual performance was witnessed. Ahmed took 3 wickets for 21 runs in 2 overs, Adnan and Ateeq claimed one wicket each. At the end of 8 overs Sunday Sports scored 97 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
To chase such a big score you need to blast from the start. Asim and Haroon tried to do the same, but they could not do it for a longer period. Asim departed after scoring 13 runs off 4 deliveries and Haroon managed to score 10 off 8 balls. The test of the batting lot contributed in bits and pieces as the Sunday Sports’ bowlers kept on taking wickets at regular intervals. Kamran took 2 wickets for his team while Vicky, Waseem and Baber got one wicket each. Danish played a fighting knock of 20 runs in 10 balls but this was just not enough as Shahbaz Nagar managed to score only 83 runs at the end of 8 overs. They lost 6 wickets and Sunday Sports won the game by 14 runs.
