Suparco batted first and were off to a rocky start, losing both their openers for just 6 runs. The team lost wickets regularly with 5 of their batsmen being dismissed in single digits. Suparco batsman Shakoor was the savior for his side, scoring an impressive 60 runs to boost his team to a respectable total. He received little support from the other end however, as the batting collapsed with little contributions. Faheem was the only other notable contributor for his side, scoring 22 runs before he was retired hurt. Engro bowlers did well to limit the opposition, striking at key times and restricting the flow of runs. Sahib lead the bowling attack, taking 3 wickets and was further assisted by Bilal Ahmad who took 2 additional wickets. Suparco scored 150 in 20 overs.

Engro were chasing a modest total but stumbled early on, losing their opener Zaib for just 7 runs. The team lost wickets regularly, unable to get going early on in the innings. Jibran was the only notable contributor for his side, scoring 36 runs, fighting hard to pull his team back in the game. He was supported briefly by Sameer who scored 29 runs but the team collapsed after that. Suparco's bowlers were in form and on fire that day with Anwer Rashid leading the attack, picking up a crucial 3 wickets. Qayyum also did damage with the ball, taking 2 wickets. Eventually, Suparco's bowlers were able to contain the batting side by just 2 runs.
