Superstar C.C Vs Karachi Fighters (15th Challengers Cup)
Superstars CC defend 153 in a one sided fixture against Karachi Fighters on the back of brilliant bowling performance from Sumair and Atif.
Superstar batted first and were off to a flying start as Mansoor demolished the opposition with his fine hitting. The hard hitting opening batsman was in great touch and was smashing every bowler all around the park, during his brilliant innings of 52 which came of just 40 balls he smashed 4 sixes and 2 fours. Once he was dismissed Karachi Fighters came back strongly in the game with Ammad Hussain leading the way. He not only put the brakes on the scoring but also picked up wickets. In his 4 overs he gave away only 15 runs and picked up 5 wickets which is a brilliant effort. In the end Superstar crawled to 153 in their 20 overs.
After a great comeback with the ball, Karachi Fighters were hoping of a similar performance with the bat but not to be as Sumair and Atif of Superstar had other plans. The bowling dup picked up 4 wickets each and were so economical, Sumair in particular who gave away only 10 runs in his 4 overs which is a phenomenal effort. The batting from Karachi Fighters never really got going as they lost wickets at regular intervals. In the end Superstar CC won comfortably by 20 runs.
