Suriya Fighters Win in the Low Scoring Match Against K-Town CC

K-Town CC and Suriya Fighters went against each other in Markhor League on 22nd September.

Atif Ahmed and M Alam Bhiman opened the innings for K-Town, scoring 12 and 1 runs respectively. The one-down batter, Ahmed Kapadia, tried to secure the momentum, as he scored 22 off 31 balls. However, the batters continued to display a sloppy performance, as the bowlers dominated. Abdul Qadir Suriya bagged 3 wickets, while Sumair Altaf dismissed 2 batters. None of the batters were able to make a significant contribution, as K-Town were all out on 99 runs only.

Shahbaz Attari and Umair Tariq opened the innings for Suriya Fighers, determined to chase the low score. However, Attari was bowled out on 1 run only by Babar Shaikh. The bowlers gave a tough fight, as Babar Shaikh dismissed 3 batter. However, due to the low score the fall of wickets was not able to build enough pressure on the batters. Umair and Sadiq Suriya’s innings led the team to bag momentum and chase the score. Umair played a brilliant innings of 41 runs at a strike rate of 164. Whereas, Sadiq scored 29 runs.

Hence, Fighters won the match easily in the 13th over by 6 wickets.
