Team NSL defeated Ibex Knights in a match in the 33rd Challengers Corporate Cup.
Batting first, Team NSL’s openers struggled and were dismissed for a duck and 5 runs. However, their middle order stabilized the innings by making meaningful contributions. One-down batsman Shoaib Rathore scored 21 off 14 balls, while Salman Memon scored 27 off 22 balls. Their efforts were followed by Raziq Qayani’s 22 runs and Azhar Khan’s important 38 runs. The team reached a total of 168 runs. Ibex Knights’ Sheriyar Ali, Adnan Khan and Arish Khan took 2 wickets each.
Ibex Knights had a difficult time with the bat. Apart from Arsal Ali’s great 44 off 38 balls, Ejaz Shakir’s 22 and Tauseef Ahmed’s 17, the batting lineup did not show much resistance to the bowling attack. The team was all out in the last over, managing a total of 157 runs. Shuja Uddin was the pick of the bowlers, bagging 3 wickets.
Team NSL won the match by 11 runs.
